GUS ROBINSON PROMOTIONS
boxers

Welcome to the official website for Gus Robinson Promotions. Gus Robinson's reputation as a boxing manager is rock solid: his name stands for honesty and commitment. In a newspaper questionnaire in 1994, Gus was asked what his motto would be and he answered "try and try again". And his efforts to promote and, at times, simply keep alive boxing in his home area during some painful and recession-hit years have proven that he is very much a man of his word.

He has managed and promoted countless fighters over two decades and once had four heavyweights in the top 10 in Britain (Noel Quarless, John Westgarth, Paul Lister and Manny Burgo), only for a title to prove elusive - until now. Alan Temple, a gifted lightweight Gus brought back to the North-East in 1995, won the British Masters belt in May 2004 by beating Silence Saheed in Kent. And in March 2005, Gus was in the corner to see the talented prospect he had signed in 2000, Nigel Wright knock out Dean Hickman to become the English light-welterweight champion.

Please spend some time to browse this website where you will find information about our boxers and the facilities we use here at the Champs Gym, Hartlepool.
